There are a number of additional functions available to you on your Worldpay terminal, some of which may only be enabled if they are part of your Worldpay contract.
To access these additional features press MENU and select the function you require.
Mail or Telephone orders
You can accept payments by mail or telephone order via your terminal if this is specified in your contract with Worldpay. To process a mail or telephone order simply key in the amount and press the green ENTER button as you would for a normal card transaction. Rather than inserting, swiping or presenting a card when prompted simply key in the card number and follow the on screen prompts. This will include confirming the customer is not present, entering the 3-digit card security code (on the back of the card) and the customer's post code/ address numerics.
If you are in any doubt whether you are able to accept mail or telephone order payments please check you contract before accepting a transaction.
Did you know...
You can process Mail or Telephone orders without the cardholder present by manually entering the customer's card number when asked to present a card.
Gratuities allow your customers to leave a tip when making payment. As part of the payment flow the Cardholder will be asked if they wish to add a gratuity. They’ll then enter the value and their PIN to confirm the total amount. The number and value of gratuities taken will be detailed on your Waiter-totals report.
N.B. Gratuities are only available to certain business types, whether or not you have access to Gratuities will depend on your Worldpay contract. If you believe you should have gratuities enabled but do not please contact Worldpay Customer Support.
Did you know...
You can reprint your last receipt at any time by selecting "Duplicate receipt" from the Transaction menu.
The Pre-Auth function will gain authorisation and secure the funds on the card – but a transaction will not be processed. If you have Pre-Authorisations enabled on your Worldpay account you will see these shown on your terminals Transaction menu. To process a Pre-Auth:
- From the READY screen press the MENU button.
- Select "Pre-Auth" and press the green ENTER button.
- Key in the amount and press ENTER.
- Insert or swipe the customers card and ask them to enter their PIN when prompted.
- Your terminal will now connect for authorisation. If authorised the customer receipt will print, tear this off, press ENTER and remove the customer's card. Your merchant receipt will now print.
Your Pre-Auth will now have been processed. On your merchant receipt will be an Auth code, ensure you keep this for your records as you will need this if you wish to process a completion of a Pre-Auth should you want to process payment.

You can print off a duplicate of the last printed receipt at anytime using your terminal's Duplicate Receipt function. To re-print a receipt from the READY screen press the MENU button, scroll and select "Duplicate Receipt" and then press the green ENTER button.
During a transaction, when either the Merchant or Cardholder receipts are printed, you can also print an additional copy by pressing the MENU button.
