The display on your Wi-Fi terminal will show you the name of the Wi-Fi network being used at the top of the screen and the signal strength just below the network name. Your connectivity status will be shown by the network symbol (3 rectangles) in the middle of the display, if this symbol is green then you terminal is connected to the network. If this symbol is white then your terminal has lost network connection. If this is the case please double check your network connection as you will not be able to process transactions whilst offline.
If you have a mobile terminal your display will show you the network you are connected to (i.e. O2), the signal strength and the type of connection. As standard your terminal will try and establish a GPRS connection, however if a GPRS signal cannot be found your terminal will show GSM. As long as the GPRS/ GSM signal is green you will have a connection. If the GPRS or GSM signal is not green then you will not have a connection and the signal bars should be ignored. In this instance you may need to move to pick up a signal.
The display on your portable Bluetooth terminal will show you whether the terminal is connected to the base unit, the signal strength and the base's serial ID.
If the "B" displayed is blue then your terminal is within range of, and is paired to, the base unit. If the "B" is red or the serial ID is missing , move the terminal back within range of the base unit to ensure it is paired to the base. If when in close proximity to the base you still do not have a connection it is likely that your terminal and it's base are not paired, in this eventuality please contect Worldpay customer support.
IP and Wi-Fi networks
If you have connected your portable Bluetooth terminal via a local network connection or you are using a Wi-Fi terminal you will see the below symbol. If this symbol is green then you terminal is connected to the network. If this symbol is white then your terminal has lost network connection. If this is the case please double check your network connection as you will not be able to process transactions whilst offline. If you are confident your Network connection is good but your terminal still shows no connection please contact Worldpay Customer support.
