MOVE5000 Wi-Fi

Check if your internet is working on other devices. If it is, please then restart your terminal by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the yellow ‘Clear’ key and the ‘Point’ key simultaneously for 1 second
  2. Wait for 20 seconds
  3. Press and hold the green ‘Enter’ key until the terminal switches on

Next, carry out a connection test. You can do this by using the following steps:

  1. At the ‘Ready’ screen press the ‘Menu’ key twice so that the ‘System Menu’ screen appears
  2. Highlight ‘Select Function’ and press ‘Enter’
  3. Key in ‘86’ and press ‘Enter’ (86 is the terminal code number to run a connection test)
  4. Key in the supervisor code and press ‘Enter’. If you do not know your supervisor code, please give us a call on 0345 761 62 63
  5. Press ‘Enter’ to continue with the connection test to the GEMS host
    • The screen will display whether the connection test via WiFi to GEMS was successful. If it was not successful, please give us a call on 0345 761 62 63
  6. Next, press ‘Clear’ and then ‘Enter’ to test the acquirer connection
    • The screen will display whether the connection test via WiFi to the acquirer was successful. If it was not successful, please give us a call on 0345 761 62 63

If your internet connection is working on other devices, please check that the WiFi network has been correctly configured, you can do this by using the following steps:

  1. At the ‘Ready’ screen press the ‘Menu’ key twice so that the ‘System Menu’ screen appears
  2. Highlight ‘Select Function’ and press ‘Enter’
  3. Key in ‘96’ and press ‘Enter’ (96 is the terminal code number for WiFi network settings)
  4. Key in the supervisor code and press ‘Enter’. If you do not know your supervisor code, please give us a call on 0345 761 62 63
  5. Press ‘Enter’ to confirm ‘WiFi set up’
  6. Highlight ‘Modify Profile’ and press ‘Enter’
  7. The terminal will display a list of profiles, select the one you wish to view
    • If there are no profiles currently stored on terminal, the terminal will remain on the ‘Profiles’ menu
  8. Select ‘No’ unless you have an independently managed network. If you have an independently managed network consult with your network administrator whether the wireless has been configured to be hidden or not
  9. Select ‘Personal Security’ unless you have an independently managed network. If you have an independently managed network consult with your network administrator.
  10. Enter the WiFi password. Use the keypad on the screen to enter your password and press ‘Enter’
  11. Press ‘Enter’ to save any changes that you have made

If you have recently made changes to your internet services provider, router or WiFi password, please ensure that any changes have been updated within your terminal’s settings.
