Operating Modes

You can operate Worldpay Hub in 3 different modes depending on your business needs and set up.

  1. Integrated mode
  2. Standalone mode
  3. Mobile mode

Did you know...

You can take payments from anywhere on your shop floor by converting Worldpay Hub to Mobile Mode.

Integrated mode

In Integrated mode all aspects of your Hub are connected to the central unit with the tablet facing the server and the keypad pillar remaining attached to your Hub and facing the customer.

Standalone mode

In Standalone mode the keypad pillar will be detached from the central unit so as to be positioned as a stand alone unit, allowing you to locate it in a more convenient position for customer usage. The tablet aspect of your Hub will remain attached to the central unit.

Mobile mode

In Mobile mode the tablet and keypad are detached from their respected pillars and the keypad is secured to the back of the tablet, thus creating a mobile point of sale that allows you to take payments from anyway on your shop floor. 

To convert your Hub into Mobile mode remove the tablet and keypad from the central unit and guide the keypad into the slot on the back of the tablet, pressing until you hear a click.

Whilst Mobile mode offers you the ultimate flexibility to take payments from your shop floor, as you are not connected to the central unit however you will not be able to open the cash drawer or print receipts, to do this you will have to reconnect the tablet to the central unit. 

Whilst Worldpay Hub offers you flexibility to use the tablet and keypad away from the central unit, for security purposes, you can also lock both to their pillars. To do this simply secure the locks on the underside of the mounting points using the Hub keys provided. If you wish to convert your Hub back into Mobile mode simply unlock the tablet and keypad and remove from the central unit. You can also lock the Hub’s pillars to the central unit in the same fashion using the locks on the base of your Hub.

Did you know...

Once you enable mobile mode and are no longer connected to the central unit you will not be able to open the cash drawer or print a receipt whilst in this mode.
